Full job description

We are seeking seasonal, part time, fun, enthusiastic individuals who are into their local food scene and are barista trained to join our Front of House team in the cafe at Salt Pig The Farm Putlake.

You will be serving customers in our cafe, preparing food and welcoming people when they check in for camping and to help with our early evening BBQ's. Hours will include weekends and some early evenings until .

We are a growing family-led company who have urban farm shops / cafes / butchery's alongside a busy outside catering section in the beautiful Purbecks. We are proud of each of our unique locations and the close relationships we have with our local suppliers. We are provenance and localism at its best - complete tracibility from local farms and fisherman delivered onto plates.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include assisting with food preparation, managing customer orders, making amazing coffees, serving food and maintaining high standards of food safety. If you have a passion for hospitality and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with our wonderful small team of people, we would love to hear from you.

Duties

Greeting and welcoming guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all customer requests and requirements are met.
Serving food.
Making barista coffees.
Assisting in food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines.
Providing assistance to guests as required, addressing any queries or concerns promptly.

Requirements

Previous experience in a hospitality environment is preferred.
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy setting.
A genuine interest in local food.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Basic culinary knowledge and understanding of food safety practices are advantageous.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
A positive attitude and willingness to help both customers and team members alike.
A wicked smile!

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
