Empire Tavern is looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant General Manager to join our management team.

This role is ideal for someone who loves hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to take the next step in their management career.

The Role

Working closely with the General Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the business, leading from the front and ensuring every guest receives outstanding service.

You'll be responsible for:

Supporting the overall operation of the pub
Leading busy service periods and motivating the team
Delivering exceptional hospitality and customer experiences
Training, coaching and developing front-of-house staff
Managing stock control, ordering and cellar operations
Maintaining high standards across service, cleanliness and presentation
Assisting with recruitment, rotas and team development
Supporting the delivery of sales and profitability targets
Helping to build Empire Tavern's reputation within the local community

What We're Looking For

Minimum 3 years' experience in hospitality management
Experience in a high-volume pub, bar or restaurant environment
Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire a team
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Passion for hospitality, food and drink
Knowledge of craft beer, wine and premium spirits
Experience with stock management and cellar operations
Cocktail and barista experience advantageous
Positive attitude, strong work ethic and attention to detail
A hands-on approach with a genuine love for service
