Location: Llandeilo and Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, with the possibility of home based working where possible
Contract type: Permanent and full-time, but also open to part-time
Hours and schedule (full-time): 0930-1700 (7.5 hours a day, including 30 minute paid lunch), 5 days a week, Monday-Friday
Pay: Salary equivalent to one-third (33.3%) of fees generated and collected from the employee's billable work. Bonus equivalent to one-third (33.3%) of fees generated over target. Salary will be negotiated depending on experience and previous billing performance.

Role purpose
To manage a varied caseload of civil and/or property-related disputes, including contentious probate and general litigation matters, providing clear legal and commercially focused advice. The role requires strong technical ability but equally an understanding of a wide range of clients.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of litigation matters, including property disputes, contentious probate, and general civil disputes
- Provide clear and practical legal advice on and advocate in ADR and court proceedings
- Draft pleadings, letters of claim, court applications, and settlement agreements
- Conduct litigation from pre-action stage through to trial and settlement
- Represent clients in court hearings and attend conferences where required albeit we are comfortable with Counsel being instructed on the majority of this work
- Instruct and liaise with counsel, experts, and other third parties as necessary
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with court rules and professional obligations
- Manage deadlines, costs, and case progression effectively
- Deliver high standards of client care

Minimum requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales), CILEX Lawyer, or Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEx)
- Minimum 2 years PQE preferred
- Strong understanding of contentious work and court procedures
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
- Strong organisational and time management skills
