Job Overview

Join our compassionate team as a Community Support Worker, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and health needs. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to seniors, individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's, and those in hospice or home care settings. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster independence, safety, and well-being within our community. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact every day.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Support patient care routines including medication administration and health monitoring
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal cleanup
Manage behavioral challenges through compassionate behavior management techniques
Provide transportation for appointments or errands, ensuring safe driving practices
Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction
Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
Support families and caregivers by communicating updates and providing emotional support

Qualifications

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care best practices
Certification or training in first aid and CPR is preferred
Ability to lift heavy objects safely when assisting with mobility or transfers
Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient-centered support and compassion
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation duties
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
