Overview

Join our dynamic finance team as an Accountant and play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial management and reporting. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge accounting software and contribute to the financial health of our organization. You will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records, supporting various accounting functions, and mentoring junior team members to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Duties

Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
Oversee financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards in financial services
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting
Support financial management activities by monitoring budgets, forecasts, and variances
Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering professional development and teamwork
Maintain detailed records of all financial activities, audits, and reconciliations for transparency and accountability

Requirements

Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is essential
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles within the financial services industry
Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in managing accounts payable and receivable
Ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare comprehensive reports confidently
Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and promote a collaborative work environment
Knowledge of financial management practices including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance standards
Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external auditors
