Job Overview
Wentvalley Skips are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Waste Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the yard and ensuring that materials are handled efficiently. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. The Waste Yard Worker will play a vital role in supporting our operations by ensuring that all materials are organised and readily available for use.

Duties

Sorting and processing waste, identifying and sorting materials from general waste.
Ensuring skips are correctly positioned ready for transport.
Maintaining a safe and tidy yard, Keeping the yard clean, organised and clear from hazards.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper use of PPE.
Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
Ensure all waste is handled and disposed of according to environmental laws and company policies. Help minimise contamination and promote recycling efforts.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a yard environment is preferred but not essential
Ability to handle materials safely and efficiently, with experience in heavy lifting.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
A proactive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration.
