Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer/Roofing labourer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of commercial and residential buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently at heights. The ideal applicant will possess relevant technical skills, physical endurance, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

DOMESTIC ROOFING PROJECTS

Duties

help Install new roofs using appropriate materials such as , concrete tiles, slates, plain tiles. GRP Roofing , EPDM Rubber
Repair or replace damaged roofing components, ensuring weatherproofing and durability.
Operate power tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively during installation and repair tasks.
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment to facilitate efficient workflow on-site.
Basic carpentry skills
Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents when working at heights or around hazardous materials.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly after use.

Qualifications

DRIVING LICENCE REQUIRED

Proven experience in roofing or related construction trades is highly desirable.
Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings relevant to roofing projects.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
understanding of construction methods including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and masonry work.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
Physical fitness to work at heights for extended periods while maintaining safety standards.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in executing complex projects accurately.
Relevant certifications in roofing safety or construction trades are advantageous but not essential. This role offers an opportunity to develop expertise within a professional team dedicated to quality craftsmanship in roofing projects across various sectors.

Pay: £180.00-£250.00 per day
