Role Overview
We are looking for experienced camera operators to join a small production team working on a fast-growing automotive YouTube documentary series.
This is a part-time, ad hoc role, with shoot dates offered in advance (including weekends). Availability can be accepted or declined per project. Some operators will be used more frequently than others based on fit and performance.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Proven experience operating small gimbals
- Experience with Panasonic G85 or Panasonic S-series cameras (or willingness to use provided kit)
- Strong ability in tracking/following subjects and framing dynamic shots
- Experience shooting products or vehicles
- Confidence working in challenging lighting conditions, tight spaces, and minimal setups
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a small, fast-moving team
Equipment is provided where needed.
Responsibilities (Typical Shoot Day)
You will be responsible for capturing a mix of:
- Presenter pieces to camera (in and out of vehicle)
- In-car filming and camera mounting setup
- Tracking and motion vehicle shots
- B-roll (interior and exterior)
- Beauty / hero shots of vehicles
- Action cam POV management
- Scenario-based driving sequences (tests, manoeuvres, off-road where applicable)
- Thumbnail photography using iPhone
Typical shoots include:
- ~16–21 presenter segments
- Sufficient B-roll for a 12–20 minute final video
Time & Fees
- Fixed fee per video (not hourly)
- Typical shoot duration: 4–5 hours
- Rarely exceeds 6 hours once workflow is established, sometimes 3.5 hours.
- Additional corporate rates apply for sponsored or commercial integrations.

We are a self-funded, independently produced automotive YouTube series led by a broadcast-trained production team.
This is a passion-led, fast-growing project, especially in its early phase. While we are not currently offering agency-level day rates, we provide a high-output creative environment with strong audience reach and increasing commercial scaling.
