Overview

Join our dynamic team at Heritage Joinery as a Workshop Assistant and play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing and assembly operations. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with tools, equipment, and materials in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with the preparation, assembly, and organization of workshop projects, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality results. Duties

Assist with the assembly of products using hand tools and power tools according to project specifications
Prepare workstations by organizing materials, tools, and equipment for efficient workflow
Support the team in handling inventory, including receiving, storing, and tracking parts in the warehouse
Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper tool storage
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while ensuring quality standards are met
Conduct basic inspections of assembled components to identify defects or issues early in the process
Help load and unload materials or finished products as needed to facilitate smooth operations

Requirements

Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools.
Experience using power tools safely and effectively in a workshop or warehouse setting
Strong assembly skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate construction of components
Previous Joinery experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Ability to follow instructions carefully and work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Good physical stamina for standing, lifting, bending, and moving materials throughout shifts
A proactive attitude with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
