Full job description

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Carpentry Work Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are interested in learning practical carpentry skills and gaining hands-on experience in the carpentry and construction industry.

This position is offered on a self-employed contract basis for 3 to 6 months, working Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Competitive pay rates are available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Assist with assembling and disassembling carpentry-related structures and equipment.
Support maintenance and repair work.
Carry out carpentry tasks including measuring, cutting, shaping, and fitting timber materials.
Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
Assist with lifting and moving materials when required.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.

Requirements

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to perform manual handling and lifting tasks safely.
Basic carpentry or construction knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
Must be able to work on a self-employed basis.
