Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring that patients receive the correct prescriptions in a timely manner. You will play a crucial part in providing excellent patient care and supporting the overall operations of the pharmacy.

Duties

Accurately prepare and dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Assist pharmacists in medication administration and provide guidance to patients regarding their prescriptions.
Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed, including patient information and prescription details.
Ensure that all medications are stored correctly and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or expirations.
Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries and offering support regarding medication usage and side effects.
Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong understanding of medication administration procedures and patient care principles.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
