Sealer / Grader (Vetigraph Experience Essential)

Design Locker is seeking an experienced Sealer / Grader to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring garment patterns are accurately graded and production-ready, working closely with designers, garment technologists, and manufacturers to maintain the highest standards of fit and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Grade patterns across womenswear and menswear categories using Vetigraph software.
- Produce accurate graded size sets in line with customer specifications and grading rules.
- Check and seal patterns prior to production, ensuring all measurements and construction details are correct.
- Amend patterns following fit sessions and customer comments.
- Create and maintain grading libraries and size specifications.
- Collaborate with garment technologists, pattern cutters, and machinists to resolve fit and production issues.
- Ensure all pattern files are organised and up to date.
- Support the development process from first sample through to bulk production.
- Liaise with factories regarding pattern corrections and technical queries.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy while working to deadlines.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Proven experience as a Sealer, Grader, Pattern Cutter, or similar technical role.
- Strong working knowledge of Vetigraph pattern-cutting and grading software.
- Excellent understanding of garment construction, fit, and grading principles.
- Ability to interpret technical packs and measurement charts.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience across womenswear, menswear, or childrenswear.
- Experience working with UK high street retailers.
- Knowledge of garment manufacturing processes.
