About the Role
At Dornoch Distillery, we ship our vast selection of whisky and gin to passionate customers all around the world. We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic individual to join our team. You will be the vital link between our production and our global community, ensuring every bottle is packed with care and every customer query is handled with a professional touch.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily duties will span digital order management, physical fulfilment, and keeping our stockroom running like clockwork:
- Digital Order Processing: Manage and process incoming international and domestic orders via our WooCommerce website.
- Customer Care: Respond to customer emails, provide shipping updates, and resolve any delivery queries with a friendly, professional manner.
- Packing & Fulfilment: Hand-select, carefully pack, and prepare our bottles of whisky and gin for secure global transit.
- Inventory Control: Assist with stock management, tracking inventory levels, and organising the stockroom.
- Workplace Pride: Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in the fulfilment and stock areas.
What We Are Looking For
While we don't require prior distillery or warehouse experience, the ideal candidate will possess:
- High Attention to Detail: Essential for ensuring the right bottles get to the right international destinations safely.
- Excellent Written English: A strong grasp of written English is essential, as you will be the voice of the distillery when replying to global customer queries and resolving shipping issues via email.
- Strong Communication Skills: A polite, clear, and professional manner when handling customer emails and problem-solving shipping hitches. A good understani
- Reliability & Autonomy: The ability to manage your daily tasks efficiently and take pride in an organised workspace.
- Physical Capability: Comfortable being on your feet, lifting boxes of stock, and handling fragile glass bottles daily.
- Computer Literate: Comfortable navigating digital spaces, with a basic familiarity with Google Sheets (or Excel) and data entry/databases. You don't need to be an expert, but you should be confident in learning new software.
