Big Motoring World Group is an expanding car supermarket group that is going from strength to strength and is looking to employ a Bodyshop stores Technician at our Preparation Centre Site in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast and progressive moving group as well as working alongside experienced technicians to help and support. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals with a self-motivating attitude, with an eye for detail and able to work as part of a team within a busy, fast-moving environment.
Shift pattern:
- Monday to Thursday, 15.00 - 01.00, Friday 15.00 - 19.00.
Day to Day:
- To complete a thorough and accurate check of the stores daily.
- Ensure all products are being stored correctly and rotated to ensure use by dates are kept.
- Distribute materials to employees as needed.
- Implement new ideas to reduce stock usage and highlight any potential cost savings to the business.
- Distribution and maintenance of tooling.
- Check status of vehicles to confirm all work completed, record cars completed through the smart department, pass on job cards to admin for invoicing.
- Be a pivotal central point to liaise with staff on enquiries in regards to vehicle issues.
- Record and log wheel torque paperwork.
- Consistently maintain good housekeeping standards – address any shortfalls as needed.
- Hold a Full UK Driving Licence - Any job offer that requires driving company vehicles is subject to a DVLA check, and applicants with six or more penalty points or a previous disqualification may not meet our insurance requirements and therefore may not be eligible for employment.
