Contract Type: Fixed term (until 31st March 2029)

Contract Reason: Subject to funding

Secondment Opportunity: Permanent employees are encouraged to apply and will be supported as part of our workforce development commitment

Salary: Grade I. Scale 35 - £46,142 to Scale 37 - £48,226

Hours Per Week: 36

Base Location: Tameside One, Market Place, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL6 6BH

The Role

Tameside Council has an exciting opportunity to lead the Crisis and Resilience Fund programme making a meaningful difference to people’s lives, helping us to achieve our ambition of Starting Well, Living Well, and Ageing Well in Tameside.

We are looking for someone to play a pivotal role in the development of the CRF programme of delivery which will provide support to low-income households who encounter a financial shock and to support activity that builds individual and community financial resilience.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering on and reporting on the delivery outcomes set by the DWP

The postholder will develop a clear understanding of the local welfare landscape in Tameside, developing strong community and internal partnerships. They will identify gaps and make recommendations for CRF delivery. This role will evolve throughout the contract period to ensure that local priorities are represented and funding is well utilised locally, with demonstrable outcomes.

About You

You will need to be highly motivated with experience of leading strategic work

You will have excellent communication skills and have experience of collaborating successfully with partners

The ability to make sound judgments is essential and you must be able to use your problem-solving skills whilst working under pressure and at pace. You will have experience in leading a range of projects to successful completion and of designing new policy and strategy
