Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our dynamic media team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming raw footage into engaging visual content that aligns with our brand identity and storytelling objectives. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from promotional videos to social media content, utilising industry-standard editing software and techniques. This is working alongside a content creator.
Duties
- Edit and assemble recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting or online publication
- Incorporate graphics, colour grading, sound effects, and music to enhance video quality
- Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements and deliver compelling visual narratives
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality
- Utilise programmes such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Illustrator for editing and graphic creation
- Maintain organised project files and archives for easy retrieval and version control
- Stay updated with the latest trends in video editing and visual effects to continually improve output quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in video editing with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- Familiarity with Final Cut Pro is desirable
- Skills in photography are a plus for capturing supplementary footage or creating visual content
- Strong understanding of colour grading, sound editing, and visual storytelling techniques
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
