Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our team. This role involves flexible working across four practices, all located within a three-mile radius in the Tameside area.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive patient care, undertaking clinical assessments, and supporting effective clinical decision making. We offer one-to-one training, along with weekly tutorials tailored to areas where additional support may be needed. An on-call GP will always be available for guidance.

Both full-time and part-time applications will be considered. Candidates must be able to work until 18:30, with flexibility to remain later on occasion in the event of urgent clinical need.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations
Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary teams
Prescribe and administer medications safely in line with established protocols and guidelines
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required
Provide health education and counselling to support patient understanding and self-management
Accurately document all clinical interactions within electronic health records
Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and organisational standards relating to patient care

Qualifications and Experience

Registered Nurse with an advanced practice qualification (e.g. MSc in Advanced Clinical/Nursing Practice)
Demonstrable experience in patient care within a clinical setting
Independent prescribing qualification (minimum two years’ experience preferred)
Must have a clear driving licence to do home visits

This role is ideal for a dedicated nursing professional looking to utilise their advanced clinical skills within a supportive and patient-focused environment committed to delivering high-quality healthcare.

Pay: £55.00 per hour
