Full job description

C4 Logistics are an award-winning provider of European Transport Solutions and Customs Clearance. With offices across Europe and an in-house customs team, C4 are one of Europe’s leading emergency transport providers.

We are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarding Team Leader to lead our transport team in providing bespoke expedited transport solutions via road and air to our global clients.

Our ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of European Road Freight Forwarding, as well as excellent managerial and communication skills.

Key duties include:

Lead the transport team on shift, ensuring jobs are planned, monitored and completed efficiently.
Support daily transport operations, including bookings, tracking, customer updates and issue resolution.
Allocate work effectively and ensure priorities, deadlines and service standards are met.
Communicate clearly with customers, drivers, carriers and internal teams.
Monitor live jobs and respond quickly to delays, changes or operational issues.
Ensure accurate system updates, records and handovers.
Support compliance with company procedures, transport standards and health and safety requirements.
Coach, motivate and support team members to perform at their best.
Lead by example, promoting a positive, professional and high-performing team culture.
Identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency and teamwork.

The ideal candidate will be confident in transport operations, calm under pressure, highly organised and able to inspire others while remaining hands-on in the role

Desirable skills (full training will be given):

At least 2+ years experience in a similar role
Flexibility, adaptability and quick thinking, high attention to detail.
Good overall knowledge of various road transport modes: part and full load/ customs
EU and UK customs understanding
