Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our fleet, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all vehicles. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to implement effective strategies for fleet management.

Responsibilities

Oversee the maintenance and repair of all fleet vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for fleet operations, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance schedules, and compliance with regulations.
Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure timely repairs and services.
Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance, and repairs.
Analyse fleet performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Lead a team of drivers and support staff, providing training and guidance as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in fleet management or a similar role within the transport industry.
Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance processes and regulations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in using fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
A valid driving licence is essential; additional qualifications in logistics or transport management would be advantageous.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Previous experience with a PCO fleet will be an advantage.
