Job description

Looking for a hands-on job in a busy workplace?

We're looking for someone with experience in a warehouse, production, factory, or similar environment to join our team. No scientific experience is required - full training will be provided.

Step Into the Role

Main Responsibilities:

Receiving and booking in soil and water samples
Moving, storing, and organising samples
Preparing samples for testing (drying, weighing, sorting, and packaging)
Entering basic information into computer systems
Keeping the work area clean, tidy, and organised
Following health and safety procedures

Our Offer

£29,724.50 per annum

Consett (free onsite parking)

42.5 hours Mon-Fri between 0600-1800. (1x4hour shift on Sat every 4 weeks with hours gained back the week earlier)

Your profile

Experience required:

Experience of working in a fast paced enviroment (e.g bar work, warehouse, production, supermarkets, factories, delivery drivers).

No laboratory or science experience is needed – we'll provide all the training you need.

Based in County Durham and Crayford, our laboratory is accredited to ISO 17025 and MCERTS, ensuring that we meet the highest standards and have the technical expertise required.

We offer a wide range of services including asbestos testing, soil contamination testing, water testing and waste analysis. With our efficient logistics, we pick up samples on the same day with our own drivers and vehicles, ensuring rapid sample processing.

Our UKAS accredited soil contamination testing lab checks for contaminants, allowing clients to operate safely. We also provide a wide range of UKAS accredited waste testing services to support regulatory compliance, renewable energy qualification, and zero waste to landfill goals.

Our knowledgeable team delivers fast turnaround times and precise analysis to help you manage waste effectively and sustainably.
