Overview
Arlo Engineering Ltd is based in the heart of Lincolnshire, one of the UK’s major agricultural epicentres, making us ideally placed to support farmers and large agricultural firms. Our work ranges from essential day‑to‑day machinery and equipment repairs to designing and manufacturing bespoke trailer conveyor systems that aid harvesting and improve operational efficiency.
We serve four key market sectors — Food Manufacturing, Agriculture, Commercial and Domestic — providing tailor‑made engineering and fabrication solutions. This includes everything from building bespoke production line equipment for food manufacturers to creating individually designed electric gates for domestic customers.
Arlo Engineering Ltd is involved in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of unique projects, working with stainless steel, aluminium, titanium, brass and copper. We produce high‑quality components and structures with finishes including polished, lacquered, sprayed or powder‑coated to suit customer requirements. Our fabrication work ranges from gates, railings and staircases to complete retail space structures.
We are now seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our workshop team. The role involves MIG welding, fabricating steel components and gate systems, working from technical drawings, and producing accurate, high‑quality metalwork across a diverse range of projects.

- Read and interpret technical drawings to produce accurate, reliable components
- Maintain a safe, tidy and organised workshop environment
- Collaborate with the engineering team to meet project deadlines and customer requirements
- Problem‑solve fabrication challenges and adapt when required to achieve the best outcome

- Experience fabricating from technical drawings and working to precise measurements
- Background in manufacturing gates, railings, structural steel or similar fabricated products
- Experience operating standard workshop machinery (grinders, drills, saws, welders, etc.)
- Previous involvement in bespoke or custom fabrication projects is highly desirable
- Experience working across varied sectors such as agriculture, food manufacturing, commercial or domestic engineering is beneficial
- Comfortable working on machinery repairs, component builds or agricultural equipment fabrication
