A respected and growing metalwork company in the South West is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join its experienced workshop team. This position offers the chance to work on a diverse range of bespoke architectural metalwork and structural steel projects, contributing to high-specification developments across commercial, residential, and private sectors.
Working within a well-equipped fabrication facility, you will play a key role in producing precision-engineered steelwork to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Main Duties
- Fabricating and welding bespoke steelwork and architectural metal components
- Interpreting and working from technical drawings and fabrication plans
- Manufacturing products accurately in line with project specifications
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure projects are completed on schedule
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and workmanship
- Operating fabrication equipment and welding machinery within a modern workshop setting
Project Types
You may be involved in the manufacture of:
- Structural and feature staircases
- Access platforms, gantries, and walkways
- Balconies, balustrades, and handrail systems
- Structural steel assemblies and frameworks
- Bespoke architectural metalwork and specialist fabrications
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years of fabrication and MIG/TIG welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing quality work
- Capable of working independently and within a team environment
- Dependable, motivated, and professional in approach
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively
- Flexible and adaptable when priorities change
Pay & Benefits
- Hourly rate between £15.00 and £17.00, dependent on experience
- Potential annual earnings of approximately £30,800 – £38,000, including overtime opportunities

Additional Requirements
Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and be able to demonstrate a minimum of three years' practical experience in fabrication and welding.
