Overview of the Role:
Are you ready to grow your arboricultural career, whilst working at a nationally important garden? Whether you are building your skills after training or already working in arboriculture or horticulture and looking for a fresh challenge, RHS Garden Bridgewater offers a rare opportunity to develop your craft in a supportive, ambitious and inspiring setting.
As part of our arboricultural team, you will help care for and shape a remarkable treescape at a key moment in the garden’s development. Working under the direction of the Arboricultural Team Leader, you will be involved in the practical, day-to-day management, maintenance and enhancement of trees across the site, gaining valuable experience while making a visible contribution to a the garden.
This is a role with real variety, purpose and room to grow. You will have the chance to work with established and newly developing collections, support the sustainable stewardship of important trees, and be part of large-scale projects that will influence the garden for years to come. For someone early in their career, it is a strong platform for learning from experienced colleagues; for those already in the industry, it is a chance to apply and broaden your skills in a unique and highly regarded environment.
We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for trees, a practical hands-on approach, and the enthusiasm to keep learning. If you want to be part of a friendly, professional team where your work will be seen and valued by visitors, colleagues and future generations, we would love to hear from you.
To work for the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is to join a thriving charity, whose mission is to inspire everyone to grow. Everything we do is built on the transformational power of gardening – and the benefits it brings to people, places, and our planet.
Known globally for our inspirational Shows and five spectacular Gardens, our work extends to leading ground-breaking climate research, running community outreach programmes, and setting the standards in horticultural education.
And we could not do this without our people. We are proud of the knowledge, enthusiasm, and ideas that each one of our team members brings. From working across our social media channels, to volunteering in the RHS Gardens, from serving customers in our garden centres to running national marketing campaigns, we believe that every member of the RHS team should have the opportunity to make a difference.
