We are a growing Audio Visual Installation Company covering Bristol, much of South Wales and the South West and operating within a 90-minute drive radius of our base in Weston-super-Mare. Our customer base primarily includes Churches, Village Halls, Schools, and other organizations in need of AV installation services such as Projectors, Screens, TVs, Sound Equipment, PA and Live Streaming Camera systems.
Position:
We require a Full Time or would consider Freelance AV Installation Technician. We must stress this is not just a sound engineer role mixing for bands etc - This is a Sound and Visual Installation role - the candidate will be installing projectors, screens, speakers, amplifier/mixers and cameras/Streaming & Conferencing and therefore needs to know how to connect and also fix to a building.
Responsibilities:
· Install Audio Visual Equipment to walls/ceilings etc
· Run cabling and terminate HDMI/Cat6 through buildings - often at height
· Fit and connect speakers to walls, TVs on brackets, and Projectors & Screens on ceilings/walls
· Install Cameras for streaming using IP protocol and NDI technologies
· Work with ladders/scaffolding and power tools for high-level installations
Requirements:
· Experience in Installing Audio Visual Equipment to walls/ceilings etc is essential
· Proficient with working at height on ladders/scaffolding.
· Able to use power tools to secure equipment to walls/ceilings
· Knowledge of Electrical & Networking work is beneficial
· Proficient in DIY and general building tasks, such as drilling and fixing using screws, bolts etc
· Teamwork skills and the ability to work independently
· Patience and a methodical mindset for problem-solving
· Full driving license and ability to drive a company van
Technical Skills:
· Connect Visual distribution systems using Cat6
· Configure IP equipment such as routers and cameras
· Understand PA systems and microphone connections
Working Hours:
Standard hours: 8AM - 5PM - Monday-Friday (30 minutes unpaid lunch)
