About the Role

Our world-leading Time & Frequency department is seeking a Programme Delivery Coordinator with proven expertise in programme support and stakeholder engagement.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join the global authority in precision timing at a defining moment for UK digital infrastructure.

Backed by a government investment of £180 million in the National Timing Centre (NTC) programme, we are developing a world-first resilient time distribution capability that will provide industry with a robust complement to satellite systems (such as GPS) – which are increasingly vulnerable to disruption from solar storms, jamming and spoofing. This will underpin essential services, including

Telecommunications,
Online banking,
Emergency response,
Transport networks, and
Wider digital and data-driven operations.

Together, these services form the backbone of modern society - and your leadership will help ensure they remain secure, reliable and robust even if global navigation satellite systems fail.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and support programme meetings and governance activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, distributing papers, and maintaining action logs.

Provide administrative support to programme delivery processes by taking accurate meeting minutes, tracking actions, and following up with stakeholders to support timely completion of agreed activities.

Maintain programme documentation and information repositories, ensuring SharePoint sites, shared drives, templates, trackers and records remain accurate, organised and up to date.

Support project managers with reporting and delivery activities, including updating RAID logs, collating information, and preparing reports and dashboards for review.

Contribute to effective communication across the programme by drafting routine correspondence, coordinating reporting cycles, and helping to onboard new team members.

Act as a central coordination point for the project management team, identifying administrative priorities, supporting day-to-day delivery activities, and contributing ideas to improve processes and ways of working.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills, experience, and qualifications:

Essential:

Experience supporting projects or programmes through a placement, voluntary position, administrative role or similar delivery environment.

A genuine interest in developing a career in project or programme management, supported by an understanding of project management principles gained through formal learning, self-directed development or practical experience.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to follow up on actions, chase outstanding deliverables and help keep activities on track.

Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders, providing responsive support, following up on actions and helping to ensure effective communication across the programme.

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to identify gaps, track outstanding actions and ensure tasks are completed accurately.

Technical skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications

Experience using project collaboration or task management tools (such as Azure DevOps, Trello or similar)
