Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our friendly team in Crediton. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely manufacturing, fabricating, installing and maintaining hygienic process pipework, structural supports, and associated process equipment to the required engineering, quality and food safety standards. The role supports the successful delivery of capital projects by ensuring all fabrication and installation work is completed to specification, on time, and in compliance with health, safety and hygiene requirements.
Hours for this role are Monday - Friday 8:00am to 16:30pm.
Welder / Fabricator Responsibilities
- Install hygienic stainless steel process pipework
- Weld stainless steel process pipework and fabricated assemblies
- Fabricate supports, brackets, frames and small process skids
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs
- Maintain high health and safety standards
- Care and maintenance of welding and fabrication equipment
- Collaborate with project team and contractors
Welder / Fabricator Requirements
Essential
- Experience fabricating and installing stainless steel process pipework
- Experience using fabrication workshop equipment safely
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a project team
Desirable
- Experience within food, dairy, beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Experience installing pumps, valves, heat exchangers and process equipment
- Basic understanding of pressure testing and commissioning
Welder / Fabricator Qualifications
- Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Welding, Fabrication or Mechanical Engineering (essential)
- City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Welding/Fabrication (essential)

Pay: £54,000.00-£56,000.00 per year
