Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Labourer to join a team in Gillingham (Dorset) on a residential site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in various tasks on-site, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well within a team environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
Perform general site maintenance and cleaning duties.
Follow instructions from supervisors and assist skilled tradespeople as required.
Operate basic machinery and tools safely under supervision.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety standards are met.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on-site.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a labouring role is preferred but not essential.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 25 kg).
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
