Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Part-time Bookkeeper to join our team. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to the financial accuracy and integrity of our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess experience with various accounting software programmes and have a keen eye for detail. This position is perfect for someone looking to utilise their bookkeeping skills in a supportive environment.

Duties

Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, or Xero
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is up-to-date
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims
Prepare financial reports and summaries as required by management
Support year-end accounting activities and liaise with external auditors when necessary
Maintain organised filing systems for all financial documents
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and organisational policies

Qualifications

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably with familiarity of QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Strong knowledge of accounting software and systems for managing accounts payable and receivable
Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Prior experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided if needed
