Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles to support our financial operations effectively.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and payments in a timely manner.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with year-end closing procedures.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support as needed.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding financial reporting.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support business planning.

Skills

Proficiency in or similar accounting software is essential.
Experience with accounts payable processes and best practices.
Familiarity with Sage accounting systems is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices is required.
