Ambipar is a global environmental and emergency response group. In the UK we operate two closely integrated divisions:
- Ambipar Response – 24/7 environmental and emergency incident response. We protect critical national infrastructure, minimise downtime to critical business activities and safely manage hazardous waste, mobilising across highways, railways, airports, ports, pipelines and industry – from oil and chemical spills and shipping incidents to fly-tipping, hazardous waste removal and natural disasters.
- Ambipar Site Services – planned and reactive industrial services including industrial cleaning, tank and vessel cleaning, waste management and site-based environmental works for clients across energy, infrastructure, manufacturing and industry.
The two divisions work hand in hand, giving clients a single joined-up environmental and industrial services partner. Whichever role you join, you will collaborate across both Response and Site Services.
Do you thrive on building relationships, opening doors and closing deals in sectors where the stakes are genuinely high? Are you the kind of person who reads a regulatory change or a headline about an industrial incident and immediately thinks opportunity? If so, read on.
What you'll be doing
This is a depot-based role with flexibility to work from home when not client-facing or in the field. You will own new business development for Ambipar Response in your region – with the full backing of our operations, technical and marine teams behind every proposal you put in front of a client. You will also cross-sell the wider Ambipar group, including Site Services, so clients get one joined-up partner.
- Identify, prospect and win new clients across sectors where incident response, environmental compliance and resilience services are business-critical.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline to meet and exceed revenue and margin targets.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to understand what clients are exposed to and where we can add real value.
- Prepare and deliver tailored proposals – retainers, emergency call-off agreements, planned environmental services.
- Cross-sell the wider Ambipar group, introducing clients to Site Services where there is a fit.
- Carry out outbound cold and warm sales activity to generate leads and build relationships.
- Work closely with response teams and technical specialists to scope services accurately.
- Keep CRM records, pipeline forecasts and activity reporting sharp and current.
- Monitor regulatory change (EA / NRW / SEPA, COMAH, ISO standards) and competitor activity to stay ahead.
- Hit agreed KPIs across revenue, gross margin, conversion rates and activity.
What we are looking for
- Proven track record of hitting KPIs in a business development or commercial role.
- B2B sales experience in environmental services, emergency response, waste, insurance or industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation (EA / NRW / SEPA), COMAH, ISO standards or spill response – or the hunger to develop it fast.
- Strong prospector with the confidence to present at all levels.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willing to travel and occasionally work away from home.
What we offer
- Competitive base salary.
- Commission scheme.
- Company vehicle or cash car allowance.
- Company pension.
- On-site parking.
- Referral bonus
