Company Information and Introduction:
The Superformula Group is a UK-based manufacturer and distributor of own-label cleaning and chemical products. Operations span blending and filling, warehousing and logistics, with activity across multiple Norfolk sites. The Group Accounts Assistant will support the day-to-day running of the finance function across the Group’s subsidiary companies. The role is responsible for ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers, and supporting the wider finance team in meeting reporting and month-end deadlines.
This is a varied role suited to someone who is organised, proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in communicating with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
You'll play a hands-on role across the full finance function, with responsibilities spanning:
Purchase ledger – processing and matching invoices, reconciling supplier accounts, and handling supplier queries
Sales ledger & invoicing – raising accurate sales invoices across multiple group entities and resolving customer queries
Banking & cash posting – daily bank reconciliation, allocating receipts, and investigating discrepancies
Credit control – proactively chasing overdue debt, maintaining customer communication, and supporting aged debt reduction
General finance support – contributing to month-end processes, maintaining accurate records, and supporting ongoing process improvement
Key Skills and Competencies:
What we're looking for
You'll bring solid experience in a finance or accounts role, with good working knowledge of purchase and sales ledger processes. You'll be detail-focused, well-organised, and comfortable managing competing deadlines.
Strong communication skills matter here — you'll be dealing with both suppliers and customers regularly.
Essential:
Proven experience in a finance or accounts environment
Good understanding of purchase and sales ledger
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Confident communicator with good organisational skills
Competent in Microsoft Excel and general IT
Desirable:
Experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite advantageous)
Background in a multi-company or group environment
Familiarity with month-end processes and reconciliations
