Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber/Bathroom Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and bathroom fittings across residential and commercial properties. Duties
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, fixtures, and fittings in bathrooms and other areas
- Fitting new bathroom suites, including sinks, toilets, showers, baths, and associated pipework
- Using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete tasks accurately
- Conducting inspections to identify issues with existing plumbing installations and resolving them effectively
- Applying mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot problems and implement solutions promptly
- Performing heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation or repair processes
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant health and safety standards and building regulations
- Assisting with carpentry tasks related to bathroom fitting when necessary
- Maintaining a clean work environment and documenting completed work for client records
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plumbing, bathroom fitting, or related trades
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings or plans
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installations
- Knowledge of carpentry skills beneficial for fitting fixtures or cabinetry
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving (preferred but not essential)
- Experience with welding is advantageous but not mandatory
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical fitness to handle demanding tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing
