Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent customer service, and a solid background in food and beverage management. This role involves supervising bar staff, ensuring food safety standards are met, and creating an inviting atmosphere for our guests. Previous experience in restaurant or bar settings, along with culinary knowledge, is highly desirable. The Bar Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining high standards of service, managing stock levels, and supporting the overall success of the venue.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff to ensure efficient service delivery
Oversee food production and preparation processes, ensuring quality standards are maintained
Assist with food and drink serving, ensuring prompt and courteous customer interactions
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage in accordance with food safety regulations
Enforce health and safety policies, including food safety standards and hygiene practices
Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences to guests
Train new team members on service procedures, safety protocols, and product knowledge
Monitor the cleanliness and organisation of the bar area and kitchen facilities
Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels
Collaborate with management on promotional activities or special events

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production, cooking, serving, or food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Previous supervisory or management experience in a bar or restaurant environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality environments
Experience with kitchen operations, culinary techniques, or barista roles is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail and quality control
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers
A genuine passion for hospitality coupled with a professional demeanour
