MOT Tester / Vehicle TechnicianAbout Us

The Role

We are looking for a qualified MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a professional yet relaxed environment, carrying out MOT testing, servicing, repairs, and vehicle diagnostics across a wide range of makes and models.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards.
Perform vehicle servicing and routine maintenance.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
Carry out brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, clutch and timing belt repairs.
Complete vehicle health checks and identify any additional work required.
Maintain accurate workshop and MOT documentation.
Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
Work efficiently as part of a small, supportive team.
Maintain a clean and organised workshop.

Essential Requirements

Current DVSA MOT Tester licence (Class 4).
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Good attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual and self-motivated.
Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.

Desirable

Experience working in an independent garage.
Diagnostic equipment experience.
Air conditioning certification.
Hybrid and electric vehicle qualifications (training can be provided).
