Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member and Dessert Maker to join our vibrant team. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving delicious desserts in a lively dessert bar environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and a welcoming demeanour to ensure our guests enjoy a memorable dining experience.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
Prepare and assemble a variety of desserts according to established recipes and standards
Serve desserts and beverages efficiently, ensuring presentation meets quality expectations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dessert station and front of house area
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while enhancing guest satisfaction
Handle cash and card transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change
Follow food safety regulations diligently, including proper storage, handling, and hygiene practices
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, ideally within a dessert bar/bubble tea shop/café setting
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Previous kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key
Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance guest experience and sales potential
Experience in serving customers confidently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
