Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised General Manager to join our team in Annan. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong hospitality background and a passion for delivering exceptional events and customer experiences.

The successful candidate will be responsible for Managing Events at the Croft & Pavilion at Kinmount House, ensuring every detail is delivered to a high standard and guests enjoy a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organise, and deliver events
Work closely with clients & Wedding Co-ordinators to understand the vision, requirements, and expectations
Coordinate with external suppliers, including catering, audiovisual, entertainment, and décor providers
Manage event schedules, budgets, and logistics effectively
Oversee bar and food service operations during events to ensure smooth delivery
Supervise event staff and maintain high standards of customer service
Respond to guest and client enquiries professionally and efficiently
Support fundraising initiatives and maximise event success where applicable
Promote and upsell additional services and event packages when appropriate

Skills & Experience

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Hospitality management
Strong background in hospitality and customer service
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills with both clients and suppliers
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience using event management systems and software is desirable
