Rota Shift Mechanic

Join One of the UK's Leading Transport Operators

Pay Rate: £22.96 per hour + Overtime Available

Hours & Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week | Permanent

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Rota Shift Mechanic to join our busy Engineering Department at one of our city garages.

This is more than just a mechanic role. It's an opportunity to build a long-term career with a business that invests heavily in its people, technology and training. You'll work on a modern fleet of diesel, hybrid and fully electric vehicles while developing your skills through industry-leading training and manufacturer-led development programmes.

This is a permanent role for a fully qualified mechanic working a pre-allocated 4-over-7-day shift rota, consisting of day shift and back shift, 37.5 hours per week.

Who Are We Looking For?

A time-served motor vehicle mechanic.
Holder of a full UK driving licence.
Someone with strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
A team player who can work effectively under pressure.
A flexible and proactive approach to work.
A willingness to continually learn and develop.
Experience within the bus, coach, truck or heavy vehicle industry would be advantageous.
A PCV licence is desirable; however, the ability and commitment to obtain one whilst employed by Lothian is essential.
