Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Bar Steward/Bar Stewardess to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, assisting with serving drinks, and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your hospitality skills within a professional setting, contributing to a high standard of service and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
Assist bartenders with preparing and serving beverages in accordance with health and safety standards
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene protocols
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during service hours
Support in setting up the bar before opening and closing procedures afterwards
Greet guests courteously and provide assistance as required
Manage basic maths calculations for bills and transactions accurately
Uphold high standards of hospitality by delivering friendly and efficient service

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
Experience in serving or working behind a bar is preferred but not mandatory
Good organisational skills with effective time management abilities are essential
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills with a professional attitude towards guests and team members
