Job Overview
We are looking for someone to join our enthusiastic team as a Chef / Assistant Chef. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a small team in the hospitality environment, providing excellent guest services while supporting food preparation and service operations. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This paid position is ideal for individuals with a background in hospitality, working along side our Chef, and running the kitchen on Chef's day off and holidays.

Duties

Assist with food preparation, ensuring dishes are prepared according to quality standards and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas throughout shifts
Uphold food safety standards by adhering to hygiene protocols and proper handling procedures
Provide excellent guest services by responding promptly to customer needs and inquiries.
Assist with meal assembly, presentation, and garnishing to ensure visual appeal of dishes
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations. Ordering stock from suppliers.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or culinary roles is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is advantageous
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and cleanliness
A friendly attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
Flexibility to work various shifts including 1 day over the weekend, day shifts normal hours 11-5pm. 1 shift pattern a week if needed 4pm-9pm. (if an event)
