About the role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Labourer to join our team working on a major nuclear project. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical systems within a highly regulated environment.
As an Electrical Labourer, you will provide day-to-day support to electrical teams, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while meeting project deadlines.
What you'll be doing
- Support electrical teams with the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, fixtures, and distribution panels.
- Assist in identifying and troubleshooting electrical faults and issues.
- Prepare and organise tools, equipment, and materials required for electrical activities.
- Safely load, unload, and store materials and equipment.
- Ensure work areas are set up correctly, maintained safely, and kept clean and organised.
- Assist with the installation of electrical conduits, raceways, and cable tray systems.
- Support cable glanding and termination activities.
- Carry out basic maintenance activities and report any faults or concerns.
- Assist with routine inspections and checks of electrical systems.
- Maintain full compliance with site safety procedures, regulations, and permit requirements.
- Wear and use appropriate PPE at all times and promote a strong safety culture on site.
Who we're looking for
- Valid CSCS Card / Grade Card
- Ability to obtain BPSS Security Clearance
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards
- Good communication and team-working skills
- Ability to work effectively within a busy construction environment
