Head of Supporter Engagement

The role can be based at any of our three hospices with hybrid working.

Required to travel between sites to collaborate with colleagues, so a current full, valid driving license and car is essential.
Salary: £43,000 - £50,000 FTE per annum, experience dependent (pro rata for part time).

Full Time & Part Time applicants considered - minimum 30 hours/4 days per week

Monday to Friday but with flexibility for weekend and evening events as required

At East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), we rely on the generosity and commitment of our supporters to deliver vital care and support for children, young people and their families.
We are looking for a Head of Supporter Engagement to lead and grow our public fundraising activity and deepen meaningful relationships with our supporters.
About the role:
This is a senior leadership role within our Fundraising team, responsible for shaping and delivering our Public Fundraising strategy, covering:

Events
-
Community fundraising
-
Lottery
-
Legacy & In Memory giving
-
Individual Giving
Leading a team of fundraisers, developing clear plans and approaches to grow income, strengthen supporter engagement, and ensure a high standard of donor care.
The role has overall responsibility for generating circa £2.3 million annually and for building strong, collaborative relationships across Finance, Marketing & Communications, and operational teams to deliver shared goals.
What you’ll be doing:

Leading and delivering a forward-thinking supporter engagement strategy aligned to our wider fundraising plans

Managing and developing a team, supporting performance, learning and continuous improvement

Overseeing budgets, income performance and financial planning

Strengthening supporter journeys to build long-term engagement and loyalty

Working collaboratively across teams to maximise fundraising opportunities

Ensuring all activity meets legal and regulatory requirements, including the Code of Fundraising Practice

Staying informed about sector trends and identifying new opportunities for growth
About you:
We’re looking for someone who brings both strategic thinking and people leadership, alongside a drive for delivering meaningful supporter experiences.
You will ideally have:
-
Experience leading and developing fundraising teams and managing senior stakeholder relationships

A strong track record of delivering income growth across public fundraising areas

Experience developing and implementing long-term, insight-led fundraising strategies
-
Confidence managing budgets and monitoring performance against targets
-
The ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners
-
Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
An understanding of fundraising regulations and best practice, as well as experience in areas such as events, community or individual giving, will be important in this role.
