Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions accurately, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and professionalism are highly valued. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy engaging with customers and handling financial transactions.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
Process payments accurately using cash registers or point-of-sale systems
Handle cash, card, and other payment methods securely and efficiently
Provide receipts, change, and relevant information to customers
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cashier area
Answer customer enquiries politely and direct them to appropriate staff if needed
Ensure all transactions comply with company policies and procedures
Assist in stock organisation and replenishment when required

Experience

Previous experience in a cashier or retail role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Basic maths skills to handle cash transactions accurately
Familiarity with financial services or point-of-sale systems is advantageous but not mandatory
Strong communication skills and a professional attitude are essential for success in this role
