Design & Drawing Engineer

Job description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Design & Drawing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and designs for various construction and civil engineering projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise advanced CAD software and contribute to innovative infrastructure developments. Applicants should possess strong technical knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for civil engineering design.

Duties

Develop detailed technical drawings and schematics using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
Create 3D models and visualisations with SketchUp, NavisWorks, and other relevant tools to support project planning and execution.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to interpret design specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Prepare construction documentation, including plans, sections, elevations, and detailed drawings for construction teams.
Review and revise drawings based on feedback from stakeholders to ensure accuracy and clarity.
Assist in the integration of design data into project workflows, ensuring seamless coordination across disciplines.
Conduct quality checks on drawings to maintain high standards of precision and consistency throughout all phases of project development.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks is essential.
Experience with SketchUp, NavisWorks, Schematics, and general construction drawing practices is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction processes.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Attention to detail in creating accurate technical documentation.
Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into comprehensive drawings.
