Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Salaried General Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care across a variety of settings, including primary care clinics, nursing homes, and hospice environments. This role offers an opportunity to utilise a broad range of skills, including patient care, clinical research, and specialised medical procedures, within a supportive and professional environment. The position is salaried, providing stability and the chance to develop your career in general practice and specialised healthcare fields.

Duties

Conduct thorough patient consultations, assessments, and examinations to diagnose and manage a wide range of health conditions.
Administer medications and oversee medication management plans in accordance with best practice guidelines.
Perform or supervise medical imaging procedures as required for diagnostic purposes.
Coordinate and participate in clinical research projects aimed at improving patient outcomes and advancing medical knowledge.
Deliver specialised care in areas such as ICU, senior care, hospice, or home care settings, tailored to individual patient needs.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with legal and organisational standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
Provide health education and advice to patients and their families on disease prevention, management strategies, and lifestyle modifications.
Stay updated with the latest developments in anatomy knowledge, public health policies, and medical best practices to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

Fully qualified General Practitioner registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).
Proven experience in clinical settings such as ICU, nursing homes, hospice care or home care environments.
Strong background in patient care with excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of anatomy, medication administration protocols, and medical imaging techniques.
Experience or interest in clinical research or public health initiatives is desirable.
Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team.
Organised with excellent record-keeping skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining high standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
