Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with daily shop operations, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. This role offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in retail and customer relations within a dynamic setting. Friendly and welcoming manner is a must.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their enquiries
Provide information about products and services available in the shop
Maintain the organisation and cleanliness of the shop floor
Process transactions accurately using the till system
Restock shelves and ensure products are displayed attractively
Assist with stock management, including receiving deliveries and organising stockroom
Support team members with various administrative tasks as required
Ensure health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times

Skills

Excellent customer sales skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable manner
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Organised with good attention to detail
Adaptable and willing to learn new skills quickly
Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
