Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Builders Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with various building projects, supporting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the smooth progress of construction activities. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in construction work and be eager to develop their skills across multiple trades. This position offers valuable hands-on experience within the construction industry and is suitable for individuals looking to build a career in this field.

Duties

Assist with general site preparation, including clearing debris and organising materials
Support carpentry, roofing, masonry, and other trades as required
Handle hand tools and power tools safely to aid in construction tasks
Assist with construction painting, plumbing, electrical work, and fabrication tasks under supervision
Help with lifting and moving materials around the site
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
Support the installation of structural components and finishing works as directed by supervisors
Ensure all tools and equipment are used correctly and stored properly after use

Requirements

Previous experience or training in carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, welding or electrical work is advantageous but not essential
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction environments
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a physically demanding environment
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Willingness to learn new skills across various trades
Ability to follow instructions accurately and adhere to safety protocols
A proactive attitude with a strong work ethic
