Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a professional and personable Head Receptionist to oversee the front desk operations of our esteemed establishment. The ideal candidate will excel in guest relations, possess excellent organisational skills, and demonstrate a warm, welcoming demeanour. This role offers an opportunity to be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring their experience begins positively from the moment they arrive. The Head Receptionist will play a vital role in maintaining smooth daily operations and upholding the high standards of our hospitality service.

Responsibilities

Greet guests with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a positive first impression
Manage all front desk activities, including check-ins, check-outs, and reservations
Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, and in person with exemplary phone etiquette
Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly and efficiently
Supervise and support reception staff, providing training and guidance where necessary
Maintain accurate records of guest information and reservations using hotel management systems
Assist with administrative tasks such as billing, reporting, and correspondence
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming at all times
Address guest concerns or complaints promptly, escalating issues when appropriate
Support marketing efforts by promoting hotel services and amenities

Qualifications

Proven experience in hotel reception or guest services roles; hospitality background is highly desirable
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous for communicating with diverse guests
Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional manner
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills
Knowledge of hotel management software or reservation systems is preferred
Previous supervisory experience in a hospitality setting is beneficial
A proactive attitude with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences

Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
