We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener or garden maintenance assistant to join our small team on a part time or full time basis during busy periods.

We mainly focus on garden maintenance, grass cutting, hedge cutting, pruning etc.
We usually do around 4 - 6 gardens per day, but with future plans of having another van/team on the road, so driving licence preferable but not essential at the moment.
Hours can vary but usually 8-4 as a basic.
This role will be self employed, you would be responsible for tax etc.
We are a local garden maintenance company with a growing customer base.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance to develop their skills, an eye for detail is a must.
Responsibilities
- Planting, pruning, weeding, and watering garden beds to promote healthy growth.
- Operating hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes to maintain garden features.
- Using power tools like hedge trimmers and lawn mowers for landscape upkeep.
- Applying fertilisers, pesticides, and other treatments in accordance with horticultural best practices.
- Ensuring all outdoor areas are kept tidy, safe, and visually appealing through regular maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in gardening grounds maintenance. understanding of plants is a bonus.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools used in gardening tasks.
- Growing experience is highly desirable, including knowledge of plant species and soil management.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high standards of safety.
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure quality work across different projects.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture or landscape management are advantageous but not essential.
Pay: £12.00-£14.00 per hour
