Full job description

The post holder will support the Service Manager and Deputy Service Manager within the Psychological Medicine Service at Royal Berkshire Hospital ( Liaison Psychiatry ) . You will tak e a lead on information and performance requirements within the service including collecting data and formulating cohesive reports and introducing robust business management systems . The role will include acting as administrative lead within the team and supervising junior colleagues

You will work Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm.

To support the Service Manager in the achievement of financial, performance and operational objectives .

Ensure a good patient experience and efficient effective use of available resources across the portfolio of services . Be responsible for ensuring business continuity is undertaken, planned and monitored across services.

To support the Service Manager to review capacity and demand on a regular basis to ensure balance is achieved . To take action on any variances to eliminate bottlenecks and work with the Service Manager to redefine the Care Pathways when deemed necessary.

To review data quality and performance management issues across the service.

To develop and maintain systems in order to collate required information for all reports.

Ensure the integrity of clinical and activity data collection by developing a framework of data quality standard setting, monitoring and auditing.

Ensure the continual review, further implementation and development of information systems within the Locality to ensure optimal use of resources.

Provide technical support and advice to staff involved in the input and management of operational information via the BHFT management systems .

Provide high quality clinical activity information, analysis and advice for the Service Managers and Directorate in line with the Trust’s corporate requirements (producing information reports, offering guidance and support).

The “must haves” for this role:
A high standard of education including GCSE’s in English Language and Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent qualification
Broad experience gained over a minimum of two years
Minimum 2 years as Band 4 grade
Evidence of on-going professional development.
