Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Panel Beater to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle bodywork to its original condition. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The successful applicant will play a crucial part in ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality workmanship. 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Assess damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repairs required.
Remove damaged panels and components, ensuring minimal impact on the vehicle's structure.
Repair or replace panels using welding techniques and power tools.
Assemble parts back onto the vehicle, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Perform equipment repair and maintenance as needed to ensure optimal performance of tools.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in panel beating or related fields.
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Ability to read and interpret schematics for vehicle assembly and repair.
Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks undertaken.
Strong customer service skills, fostering positive relationships with clients.
